Description
Ninth plate melainotype of an unidentified rebel infantryman. Seated pose dressed in a dark, 6 button frock coat. More than likely hailing from South or North Carolina. I wide leather belt is worn with a single roller buckle. A massive fighting knife with a very crude wood handle sits on his hip and housed in a leather sheath. This one has a rub mark up at top and some solarization but it looks much better in hand than this scan allows. Housed in a full leatherette case.
