Item No. HA0912JR Categories , Tag

CDV sized tintype of an armed Federal cavalryman. Full length body view dressed in his cavalry service jacket and trousers. A M1851 eagle waist belt is worn with a large Colt Army tucked in at the waist. He holds his cap, displaying the brass insignia for the camera. Cavalry insignia is pinned to the top along with his company letter “E” and the numeral “4”. On the reverse is an old pencil id that simply reads “Ed Murray”. I could not locate any such cavalryman by that name serving in a 4th cavalry regiment and serving with “E” company. Regardless a nice looking image. I do not have a case for this one. Just the mat, preserver and cover glass.
