Exceptionally nice carte view of a young hospital steward. Standing pose of this steward dressed in his frock with medical insignia visible on the sleeve. His cap is worn with the rain cover in place while resting on a M1840 saber. He can’t be much more than 18 years of age if that. Nice, clear view of those caduceus worn on the upper sleeve. Back marked out of Washington. This one is slightly trimmed. Still a really sharp medical steward carte view!
