Sixth plate tintype of a Federal infantryman photographed with his sister. There doesn’t appear to be much love lost between these two. The pair sit side by side with arms crossed and emotionless. There is no doubt that the two are sibling’s. The large nose and eyes give the pair away. He sits dressed in his infantry frock and cap with the visor flipped up. His sister sits wearing a cotton dress and wearing this wonderful brimmed hat to shade herself from the summer sun. A scarf is tied around the hat and under her chin to keep it in place. Housed in a half leatherette case.
