Description
Cabinet card of 4 Native American dignitaries flanked by two other men. I’m not entirely sure what is going on in this view. The focal point of this view seems to be the four men at center. Dressed in a mix of modern clothing from the era and their native attire. The men look less than thrilled to be in their current position. A man stands off to the left holding a large pipe. Another man is seen off to the right holding up a large book. Possibly a scene of the “education” of Native Americans by their European counterparts. This one is a bit faint as you can see. Measures 6″ x 4″. No back mark.
