Pennsylvania Family Album Containing Military Litho CDV's and Family Members

Item No. CV90487 Category

CDV album containing a number of litho views of Union military leaders as well as family photos. There are a  total of 10th litho carte views of Union colonels and generals to include Elmer Ellsworth, General Warren, General Buford and Colonel Robert Cummings of the 142nd Pennsylvania Infantry who was killed in action at Gettysburg. There is also one view of a Federal officer with the rank of either a colonel or major. It is back marked out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania but unfortunately he is not identified. Presumably he was a relative of one of the families contained in the album. A little research may be able to identify him. There are 26 civilian views total. Both a mix of tintypes and cdv’s. There are 3 families listed throughout the album. The Hathorns, Thompson’s and Southand. In total there are 37 views housed in the album. The album itself is in quite good shape with the binding still intact and all the pages secure. Nice little research project.
