Item No. CV1131MF Categories , Tag

Carte view of an unknown Federal soldier from the state of Pennsylvania. Dressed in military jacket, he wears a silver, 6th Corps badge which is pinned to the breast of the coat. An old period pencil inscription on the reverse reads “Taken in the year 1864 June”. A pair of cancelled tax stamps on the reverse of the image would confirm that date as they are dated June 14, 1864. Back marked out of Myerstown, Pennsylvania.
