Description
Quarter plate tintype of this Federal cavalryman displaying the dashing character which cavalryman were known for. Full standing pose of this trooper dressed in a private purchase and rather fancy button up overshirt. A decorative handkerchief is tied around the neck while he sports a small slouch cap with brass cavalry insignia pinned to the front. Double armed, he steadies his Sharp’s carbine at his side while brandishing his heavy cavalry saber with a leather sword knot. He is posed in front of this rather elaborate back drop of a military themed scene. This one is slightly dark but otherwise a great content image. Housed in a full thermoplastic case.
