Super neat little ninth plate tintype. Possibly a reb or possibly a yank. I’m not really sure but he is definitely a little rough around the edges in appearance. Sporting a light colored sack coat or commutation jacket which is worn over a heavy wool shirt. You can see the thick cuffs of the shirt extending from the coat sleeves. His cap is worn with the visor flipped upwards. It is clearly discernible that this fellow has been in the field for some time. He has taken a small side knife, which is housed in the scabbard, and displayed it horizontally across his chest above his folded hands. This one does have a small scratch up at the top but it does not intrude on the content of the image. Housed a very nice thermoplastic case.
