Carte view of a Federal infantryman. Seated pose dressed in his infantry frock with his cap resting in his lap. A modern pencil id on the reverse identifies the man as William L. Brown of the 132nd Ohio National Guard. He would muster with Company I in early May, 1864. A 100 day regiment, his service would be brief. He would spend May and June sick in the hospital under quarantine but would be present for the remainder of his service. The regiment would be discharged in September, 1864. No back mark on this one. It does come with copies of his service records.
