Description
Killer sixth plate tintype of a quadruple armed Federal cavalryman. This guy has enough hardware to break his poor horses back! Outfitted with a cavalry jacket and heavy cavalry trousers and sporting a pair of brass shoulder scales. A wonderful M1858 Hardee hat sits atop his head with an ostrich plume to one side and the other side curled up. A hat badge is pinned to the side from which a red tassel is attached. Brass cavalry insignia is pinned to the front with his company letter “H”. An eagle waist belt is worn from which his empty sword scabbard hangs. His sword is held in hand mid swing with a Root revolver held in the other hand. A massive Colt revolver is tucked into his belt and another rests on the table at his side. This guy looks like he was taking on the entire Confederacy by himself. Pretty awesome cavalry image. Housed in a patriotic full leatherette case.
