Sixth plate tintype of a yank infantryman ready to march. Posed is a makeshift studio where he stands on a muddy, wood plank floor with a canvas sheet drawn up behind him. He stands rigid supporting the weight of his knapsack. Dressed in his infantry frock with full US accouterments. His knapsack is strapped over his shoulders with his greatcoat rolled up in his gum blanket and fasted to the top. His musket is held at his side with the bayonet attached. Nice looking image. Housed in a full leatherette case with the nice, brilliant blue velvet pad.
