Mid 1850’s period sixth plate ambrotype. Vignette view of this middle aged woman with the bottom half of the image displaying this fogging effect. A religious woman, she wears this extremely large cross around the neck which hangs from what appears to be a leather cord. Housed in a half leatherette case.
