Description
Very hard to find veterans medallion drop for the 1st Connecticut Heavy Artillery. Originally this would have hung from a ribbon which is missing. The front side features crossed cannons and “1st C.V.H.A 1861 – 1865”. The reverse lists all the battles in which the 1st Connecticut were engaged. Hanover Court House, Yorktown, Fair Oaks, Fredericksburg, Malvern Hill, Petersburg, Gaines Mill and Richmond. There were a number of other battles in which the regiment was engaged that are not listed on this medallion including Gettysburg.
