Very nice Abstract of Purchases document for the 1st Long Island Regiment, otherwise known as the 67th New York Infantry. This one is for the month of February, 1863 and pertains to items purchased while in camp near White Oak Church, Virginia. Singed by Captain Nathaniel Ellmaker of the US Volunteers Commissary Department. The list includes pork, ham, hard bread, flour, peas, rice, coffee, sugar, vinegar, candles, soap, salt, mixed vegetables, molasses and potato’s. Very legible and written in ink. No tears in tis one either. Nice document.
