Description
Sixth plate tintype of a seated Federal officer with the rank of 2nd lieutenant. His cap rests on the table at his side with embroidered infantry insignia placed on the front of the cap and the numerals “97”. Unfortunately, I have not been able to identify him or the regiment. Housed in a nice patriotic leatherette case.
