Super nice quarter plate tintype of a Federal infantryman. Wonderful, near full length standing pose of this bearded foot soldier. Dressed in his infantry frock and dark blue trousers. He is outfitted with his cartridge box and US waist belt. Great view of that cap box that he wears on the belt. His musket is steadied at his side with the bayonet attached. Photographed in front of this military themed back drop featuring a number of tents and a fort off in the distance. Most likely one of the Eastern Theater back drops from late 1862 and early 1863. This is a really sharp looking image. Housed in a full leatherette case with a split spine.
