Description
Sixth plate tintype of a rather young Federal infantryman. Standing pose dressed in his regulation infantry frock, he sporting leather accouterments as well as a musket held at his side. A saber bayonet in housed in the scabbard which hangs from the belt. He stands with one eye closed and the other almost completely closed. The poor boy was so tired from soldiering that he fell asleep during the lengthy photo process apparently. Housed in a half leatherette case.
