Description
Exceptional example of this British bible that was smuggled into southern ports through the blockade. The condition on this one is outstanding given it’s age. All of the pages are present and intact and the binding, covers and closure tab are all very sound. Inside the front cover, one can see this was published in London. The National Parks Service has an identical example on display at Gettysburg that was picked up on the battle field following Pickett’s Charge. You won’t find one in better condition!
