Unidentified carte view of a Federal lieutenant. Studio pose standing next to this large column with a wonderful woodland scene as the back drop. He stands dressed in a tailored jacket with his lieutenant rank visible on either side of the collar indicated by two small brass bars. Large eagle buttons run down the face of the jacket. A M1851 eagle waist belt is worn while his sword hangs loose at his side dangling from the sword hanger.
