Description
Confederate dispatch by Lieutenant Charles F. Johnson written to Captain Isaac Shelby of the 28th Mississippi Cavalry. Dated November 1, 1863 from the Headquarters of Buckner’s Division. The note is in regards to a horse which was purchased for Johnson which he does not care for and is returning it back to Shelby. Isaac would later be wounded and captured at the Battle of Pulaski.
