Description
Very nice, unused, Confederate cover from the state of South Carolina. This example has an imprint along the left side in purple featuring the patriotic motif “SOUTHERN RIGHTS DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR”. Below is additional script reading “BOLD, BUT WARY”. In the center is a shield featuring some of the most recognizable symbols associated with the state of South Carolina including the palmetto tree and crescent moon. Exceptionally nice example for being a 150+ years old. No tears to this one either.
