Wonderful carte view of an unidentified federal cavalryman. Dressed in his cavalry uniform and sporting brass shoulder scales, he cradles his heavy cavalry saber in his lap. The butt of a holstered revolver is visible worn on the opposite hip. That M1851 eagle waist plate is just as clear as a bell! No back mark on this one but a great shot!
