Description
Simply superb sixth plate ambrotype of this well armed rebel from the state of Mississippi! He sits posed in this very rough spun grey or butternut jacket with a tall standing collar and a row of Mississippi state buttons running down the front of that jacket from top to bottom! He appears to be armed with a British Pattern M1821 cavalry saber and a large caliber revolver which is tucked into his belt. Partially visible behind the revolver is a large frame buckle. Some solarization to this one but what a killer image from a seldom seen state! Housed in a full leatherette case with a split spine.
