Description
Very nice full standing view of this unidentified officer. Dressed in a double breasted frock, he wears the rank of either a colonel or major. His cap is worn with embroidered “US” insignia while sporting a pair of bright gauntlets. Brandishing a Colt Navy revolver in one hand, the empty holster can be seen worn on the belt while he steadies his sword with the other hand. His greatcoat is seen draped over a chair slightly to his rear. I am very certain i have seen this view before, but I have been thus far unable to identify him. Back marked out of New York.
