Description
Ninth plate ambrotype of a possible, early southern volunteer. Seated pose of this wild-haired individual sporting this massive silk cravat. He is dressed in a red blouse with the cuffs trimmed in black velvet as well as what appears to be a false herringbone front trimmed in black velvet as well. Similar in style to those often seen from Mississippi. He also wears to two-piece interlocking militia waist plate which appears to have an eagle on the front. Housed in a full leatherette case with a split spine.
