Super little ninth plate ambrotype of an unidentified Federal cavalryman. Seated pose of this trooper sporting this magnificent M1858 Hardee hat with an ostrich plume and brass cavalry insignia. Dressed in his cavalry uniform, he cradles his heavy cavalry saber in his lap. Really nice looking image. Housed in a full thermoplastic case.
