Description
Sixth plate ambrotype of a Federal infantryman. Standing pose of this young soldier dressed in his infantry frock and blue kepi. A US waist belt is worn with the plate off to the side of the hip and a cap box shown worn to the other side. His musket is held at his side with the bayonet affixed while a M1855 smooth side canteen with the dark blue wool cover hangs around his neck from a white linen sling. Don’t get to see canteen images to often. Housed in a full thermoplastic case.
