Description
Sixth plate ambrotype of this Federal soldier dressed in his infantry frock. Studio pose with multiple props present for one to pose next too. This subject gives a stern look to the camera while holding his cap in hand and displaying the brass insignia present on the top of the cap. It appears to be Engineer’s insignia or possibly two very large numerals. Very nice clarity to this one. Housed in a full leatherette case with a split spine.
