Description
Wonderful ninth plate tintype of a Federal artilleryman with content galore! Great character portrait of this artilleryman. Dressed in his artillery service jacket which has been trimmed in red and sporting a pair of brass shoulder scales. His forage cap is tilted to one side with the visor flipped up and embellished with an ostrich plume and red artillery tassel which can be seen hanging down just off of the visor. A US waist belt is worn and around his neck hangs the gold chain to his pocket watch with a Masonic Royal Arch watch fob. Lastly, he displays a large Colt Army revolver across his chest with the trigger cock and finger on the trigger. Just an all around sharp looking image with plenty of character! Housed in a half leatherette case.
