McCall says eight (8) Regiments of the enemy advancing on Great Falls. Have your command in readiness to act at once & await further orders. Direct your pickets to be vigilant & report often”. It is signed along the bottom “Geo. B. McClellan Maj. Commanding”. Measures Measures 8″ x 5″. Nice bold ink and easily legible.
