Description
Super cool relic canteen painted with two of the most iconic scenes from the Battle of Antietam. I would suspect this was an early battlefield pick up from the bloody battle. This M1858 smooth-side canteen features a painted scene of the famous Dunker Church, which was the focal point for a number of Federal attacks against the Confederate left flank. The opposite side of the canteen features a view of the Antietam Bridge, although the vast majority of the painted scene has flaked off due to age and corrosion. Regardless of the condition, a very neat relic of the famous battle!
