Sixth plate ruby ambrotype of this very patriotic Federal infantryman. Seated portrait dressed in his infantry frock, he is posed with his hand over his heart signifying his allegiance and patriotism to his country. Not a pose we see very often in these images. Housed in a half leatherette case.
