Post war cabinet card view made from the original hard image. Standing view of a Federal infantryman dressed in his infantry frock. Visible is the brass mat from the original hard image from which this image taken. Back marked out of Humboldt, Iowa. There is an old pencil id on the reverse which appears to read “C. L. Wood”. This is possibly Charles L. Wood who would muster with the 7th Iowa Infantry at the age of 43 in January of 1864. Charles would serve until May of 1865. Measures 6.5″ x 4.25″.
