Absolutely beautiful pattern M1839 “Baby US” pattern box plate. Non-excavated plate. Not a single dent or ding on this example. Retaining nearly all of the original gold gilt. Die struck face and full lead filled back. Both iron loops are present. Measures: 41 mm x 72 mm. This plate is referenced in “American Military Belt Plate” O’Donnell & Campbell Pg. 325 Plate 528 (Circa 1861). You wont find a nicer baby US plate. Don’t see these very often!
