Description
Investment grade quarter plate tintype of a quadruple armed Federal cavalryman! This horse soldier is carrying around enough brass and steel that he probably doubled his weight. Photographed in the field, inside a makeshift studio, a white canvas tent can be seen behind this young trooper. The stout little soldier strikes a defiant pose here and wears an expression of determination on his face. Dressed in his cavalry uniform, his cap is absent of any brass insignia which might have hinted to his regimental affiliation. His sword, which remains in the scabbard, is displayed vertically at his side. Two large Colt Army revolvers are tucked into his M1851 eagle waist belt while a Sharps carbine is tucked in tightly against the side of the body. His carbine sling and buckle are clearly shown as well. If you are looking for content, this one definitely has it! It comes housed in a mint thermoplastic case as well. Top notch cavalry image!
