This is a very tough piece to find! Original wooden tompion for a .50 caliber carbine. This would mean that it would fit the Civil War Maynard carbine or also could fit the Palmer Carbine. In the gun tool book they have one that is similar to this one on page 288. Rare jewel and a most have if you own a Maynard or Palmer Carbine
