Description
Carte view of an unknown Federal soldier displaying an empty sleeve which absent of his hand. Dressed in an infantry frock, he leans on a cane which he holds in the opposite hand, indicating the lose of his hand was not the only wound he received. Holding the arm up and exposing the empty sleeve of the coat, some type of object is seen where his hand should be. Possibly some type of prosthetic implement to aid with the loss of his hand. This carte does have a vertical crease over to the far left side that does not impede the view of the soldier. Back marked out of New York with a tax stamp as well.
