Description
This is a massive D-Guard REPRODUCTION side knife. From end to end this one measures a whopping 23″. It is stamped on the blade “Nashville Plow Works” as well as “CS 1861”. Huge clipped point on this thing. It is accompanied by a handmade leather scabbard with “1861 CS” marked on the scabbard in gold paint. As I mentioned, this is a reproduction. These were produced by the Crazy Crow Trading Post I believe back in the 70’s. There are a number of different examples marked from all of the various major Confederate foundries. This one is very solid and for the fraction of the cost of an original example. Great display piece.
