Description
This is an absolutely stunning sixth plate ruby ambrotype taken by Boston, Massachusetts photographer’s, Cutting & Turner during the mid 1850’s. Beautiful clarity to this view of a middle-aged woman dressed for the Boston winter weather. A large mink fur scarf is draped over the shoulders while sporting fur-fringed gloves and a bonnet. For additional warmth, she is entirely wrapped in a heavy blanket. There is not a flaw on this one and it still retains all of the original seals. Just a beautiful image! Housed in a full case with a separated spine.
