Description
This is a just a beautiful half plate ambrotype of a seated husband and wife. C. late 1850’s. Their identities unknown, the pair sit side by side with the husband wrapping his arm around his wife. Both are well dressed and the husband has what appears to be a jeweled watch fob or some other jewelry affixed at the hip. The clarity of this image is superb. Just a great image in the half plate size. It does come housed in a full leatherette case with a split spine
