Ninth plate, early war ambrotype of a Trans-Mississippi volunteer. Seated pose of this wild-haired individual sporting a massive silk cravat. He is dressed in a red blouse with the cuffs trimmed in black velvet as well as the front of the shirt trimmed in a herring bone pattern black velvet as well. Similar in style to those often seen from Mississippi. He also wears to two-piece interlocking militia waist plate which appears to have an eagle on the front. Housed in a full leatherette case with a split spine.
