Wonderful early publication titled “The Battlefield of Gettysburg Illustrated With Story of the Great Struggle”. Published in 1906, this small book features some exceptional early views of the battlefield from the turn of the century. All photographed by well known Gettysburg photographer, W. H. Tipton. There are 16 pages in total with each page featuring a full size photograph of the some of the most iconic locations on the battlefield. Each photograph is accompanied by a short paragraph detailing the events that occurred there. 150 years later, and we are still captivated by the events that took place there. Splendid, early Gettysburg piece!
