Description
Very nice CDV sized tintype of this New York militia soldier. Dressed in the dark blue New York jacket trimmed in white and light blue trousers. His cap is worn with a red, white and blue pom-pom and the New York state seal pinned to the front. A crystal clear SNY waist belt is worn with the cap box while white gloved hands grip his musket. Very nice and clear image. This image came out of the personal photo album Captain John Pugh Green who would serve as assistant adjutant general under General Thomas Kane and others.
