Description
Ninth plate, oval tintype of this unknown and beautiful young woman. Vignette view of the young lady as she gazes off longingly as if remembering some long ago memory. The date of July, 1861 has been penned on the velvet pad. It has also been engraved into the back of the plate and once more has been written inside the case, behind the image. Seemingly a very important date for some unknown reason. There is some solarization to the plate, but honestly, I think it adds more to the beauty of the image than it detracts. It comes housed in a fully functional, red velvet, oval case. Beautiful image!
