Description
Very nice albumen of an entire company photographed in the field. An officer stands out in front with two rows of men behind him armed with muskets. There must be at least 40 or 50 men shown here. Another officer stands off to the far left side. Unfortunately we do now know what regiment these men belonged too. The reverse of this albumen has a water color painting of a young girl affixed to the back. Presumably the daughter of one of the men photographed in this view. Sadly the story which linked the two images has been lost to time. This has been professionally remounted and matted recently. Measures 13″ x 11″. Neat view!
