Superb, unused cover for the 23rd Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry more popularly known as the Birney’s Zouaves. We don’t see these patriotic covers designated for specific regiments very often. This example features a litho view on the front of Colonel David B. Birney after who’s name the regiment was named after. Very nice example with no tears or soiling and pertaining to one of the wars most popular regiments.
