Description
Quarter plate tintype of a Federal infantryman. This is a nice, up close view of this soldier and being a quarter plate makes it seem even larger. Seated pose dressed in his infantry frock which he casually wears unbuttoned and open with the exception of the top button per military regulation. He has also folded his collar down which would lead me to believe he probably sat for this view during the summer months and was attempting to try and cool off. A military themed camp scene is visible behind him featuring a number of large Sibly tents and rolling hills. This one does come housed in a full leatherette case.
