Set of Volume 1 and Volume 2 of William Hardee’s “Rifle & Infantry Tactics” manuals printed in Mobile, Alabama by S. G. Goetzel. These have seen some hard service. Volume 1 has about 1 1/2″ spine cover missing from top of the book. It is also missing half of the fold out diagram which is located at the very front of book. Volume 2 is missing a small portion along the binding on lower right front cover. Spine is in good condition and the book title on spine is in good shape and legible. There are about a dozen pages that have the upper corners slightly creased as seen in photo. All pages are present despite some condition issues. Volume 1 is signed in pencil inside the front cover “L. R. Kellys book Apl. 17, 1861”. There are a couple possible matches but nothing I could nail down.
