Very nice reunion ribbon from the 47th G.A.R. Anniversary held in 1908. This example displays a celluloid of Captain Horace H. Hope, formerly of “I” Company. It is affixed to a brilliant yellow ribbon on which is printed in silver gilt “CAPT. H. H. Hope CO.I 3rd MICHIGAN CAVALRY 1861 1908 FORTY-SEVENTH ANNIVERSARY REUNION JACKSON SEPT.18-17, 1908″. Horace would be captured at Corinth in October, 1862. Subsequently returned the following March, he would resign in November, 1864.
